Systemic Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis
Sometimes, here are times in life when it seems you can’t get anywhere without help. Almost one in three people will experience a mental illness at some point in their life – with the number of cases increasing in recent years. So you are not alone if you notice that something is wrong. With appropriate treatment, the chances of recovery are very good. Various methods are available for this: psychotherapy, medication, but also supportive measures such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), exercise, dietary changes or art therapy. As a medical doctor, systemic therapist and hypnotherapist, I can offer you a wide range of treatments so that you receive the best possible support: individually tailored to you, with empathy and kindness.
Do you sometimes wish you had a straight, direct path to a happy life? Do you think to yourself, „Life is far too complicated and should really be…“ or „If this and that had turned out differently…“? These and similar thoughts show where something is not right and change is needed. But they can also be tormenting. Sometimes physical symptoms such as muscle tension, sleep disorders, headaches, tinnitus or digestive problems occur. It seems there is no energy left to keep going, and ideas for solutions and improvement seem just out of reach.
If you can be kind to yourself and stop your mind from ruminating, you can free up the energy for a change. That is much easier said than done. In a challenging situation you may need professional help to let go of the past and muster the necessary strength. I would be happy to support you in finding your own path, at your own pace, using all the strengths and resources that you already have inside you and that we can rediscover tother.

Systemic Therapy
Systemic therapy is a psychotherapeutic method that takes not only the clients individual history but also the context of a person’s social environment and relationships into account. In treating psychosomatic and psychological disorders the effectiveness is scientifically well-proven. Systemic therapy approaches problems practically rather than analytically. It seeks to identify stagnant patterns of behavior and find better fitting solutions, activating the self-healing powers and emphasizing the autonomy of each client:
Context-related, solution-oriented, resource-strengthening.

Ericksonian Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy according to Milton Erickson is a psychotherapy method that, unlike „stage hypnosis“ that appeals to the public, focuses on the autonomy and problem-solving skills of the client. We work with trances – a state of attentional focus. We all know trance phenomena from everyday life. For example, during the course of the day you only notice that you are wearing shoes if you consciously concentrate on it. Otherwise it remains hidden in your subconscious, but is still there and can therefore be accessed at any time.
Symptoms can be understood as attempts to solve a problem – understandable, justified, but unfortunately not helpful. In hypnotherapy, the subconscious is used as a source of creative, helpful ideas for solutions, strengths and abilities, positive changes and healing. The effectiveness has been scientifically proven, particularly in the treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorders. Hypnotherapy can also be very helpful in quitting smoking, managing weight and overcoming addictive behavior.

Positive Psychology as part of psychotherapy
Positive psychology is increasingly being used in psychotherapy to strengthen resources and increase wellbeing. It complements traditional therapy by focusing on strengths and accomplishments and broads the therapy spectrum by including aspects of prevention and growth. The focus is not on the cause of the symptoms, but on how to rediscover confidence and joy and find contentment in life. Studies show that simple exercises from positive psychology, practiced regularly, can reduce depression and anxiety while increasing well-being.
Because you deserve to be happy!
